Enormous sums have gone misspent

from one fund to another lent

The legislature asks who knew

It wasn’t me—it wasn’t you

Reporters rush to hunt a prize

entrapping anyone who lies

Directives come down from PA*

implying what to do and say:

If feeling heat, then please delete

but feed the media some meat

FOIA training shows the way

to do distraction and delay

Outsiders don’t know what to ask

Insiders do know which to mask

If someone tries to be a jerk

just bury them in paperwork

We all know how to hide the ball

and testify “I don’t recall”

We must become a campus green

recycling files that could prove mean

Thus start months of activity

across the university

with dirty work done quietly…
