This Little Piggy Went to Market…

In the last five years a cavalry of “Politically Incorrect Guides” have come galloping to our rescue—on American History (2004), Science (2005), Islam (and the Crusades) (2005), English and American Literature (2006), Darwinism and Intelligent Design (2006), Women, Sex, and Feminism (2006), The Bible (2007), Hunting (2007), The Constitution (2007), Capitalism (2007), Global Warming and Environmentalism (2007), The South (and Why It Will Rise Again) (2007), and The Middle East (2008). Western Civilization is forthcoming. There’s an unlikely sentence.

That the source of these works is the publisher Regnery, better known as a marketing juggernaut than an atelier of fine books, creates expectations that are not entirely offset by the curly-tailed insignia denominating this the P.I.G. Series. Nevertheless, when a piglet penned by “Elizabeth Kantor, Ph.D.” arrived at NAS, I decided to look
